In this article we will bring you some of our favorite Raspberry Pi 3 related kits that you can buy, all of the kits are available from Aliexpress and we have looked for a few different kits.

There are no robot kits in this list we will save that for a later article, anyway on with the kits that we selected

Raspberry Pi Zero 1.3 Kit

In this kit you get a Raspberry Pi Zero 1.3, Acrylic case, an Aluminum Heat Sink for cooling the microprocessor, a micro OTG cable, a GPIO Header which you can solder on to connect extra hats or sensors, a Mini HDMI to HDMI Adapter , a 2.5A Power Plug , a USB cable witha built in power switch and a 16Gb SD Card to put on the OS of your choice

This kit has all you need to get started with the Raspberry Pi Zero

If you need some components and modules then this kit is a good place to start, here is what you get.

There is a Raspberry Pi 3 Model B and an ABS Case, a GPIO Board and breadboard, 60 resistors of various values, 8 LEDs of various colors, 1 RGB led, 4 switches, 16gb SD card which you can put an operating system of your choice, a 5 megapixel camera, various cables for power, network and GPIO and 65 jump wires to connect to the breadboard.

A nice kit for beginners that may need a few components to create some basic experiments

Raspberry Pi 3 Model B Starter Kit – $81

Raspberry Pi 3 Game Kit

If you want to quickly get a retro gaming setup then this is the kit for you. It has a Raspberry Pi 3, it comes with 2 USB game controllers, there are 2 options to choose from. You can get a 16Gb or 32Gb sd card option, there is an acrylic case, cooling fan and 3 heatsinks. There is a wireless keyboard and HDMI cable and a power adaptor as well included in the kit.

It does not come with either retropie or recallbox installed on the sd card, you will have to do this yourself, thats not a drawback as this is not that difficult a task to complete

Raspberry Pi 3 Game Kit – $70

Raspberry Pi 3B Plus kit+5 inch HDMI Touch Screen

This kit gives you a 5 inch HDMI touchscreen and a Raspberry Pi 3. You get the usual power supply, cables and cooling as per the other kits as you can see in the image below

If you want to start working with a touchscreen this is a very good option to get started. The touchscreen is not as costly as some that I have seen

Retroflag Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+ Plus Kit

Another retro gaming raspberry pi 3 kit but this one has a neat twist in that there are 4 different cases like a NES and SNES case. There are also a couple of different gamepads available depending on which case you select. For a retro gamer the cases look great and add a neat touch to this kit and unlike some of the retor gaming consoles you can of course have many emulators installed.

This is a neat idea for a raspberry PI kit where you get a game hat and case and can turn your raspberry Pi 3 into a handheld console. You also get an sd card and cables. The addition of the usual retropie on the sd card with some emulators would make this a fun project to build.
